Recipe: Cinnamon-Spiced Overnight Oats

The easiest, most nourishing breakfast you can make — and Ceylon cinnamon transforms it from ordinary to genuinely delicious.

Overnight oats are one of the most practical breakfasts imaginable: prepared in 5 minutes the evening before, ready to eat cold (or gently warmed) in the morning, endlessly customisable, and genuinely nutritious. Ceylon cinnamon — with its delicate, layered sweetness — makes them taste far more indulgent than they are.

Serves: 1 | Prep: 5 min | Soak time: overnight

Base Ingredients

  • ½ cup (50 g) rolled oats (not instant oats)
  • ½ cup (125 ml) milk of choice (whole, oat, almond, or coconut all work well)
  • ¼ cup (60 g) plain yoghurt
  • ¾ tsp CeylonBlends Cinnamon Powder
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds (optional, for extra fibre and thickness)
  • 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine oats, milk, yoghurt, cinnamon, chia seeds, sweetener, and salt in a jar or container with a lid.
  2. Stir well until everything is evenly combined.
  3. Seal and refrigerate overnight (at least 6 hours, up to 3 days).
  4. In the morning, stir the oats. The mixture will have thickened considerably. Add a splash more milk if you prefer a looser consistency.
  5. Top with fresh fruit, nut butter, chopped nuts, seeds, or a drizzle of extra honey. Eat cold or microwave for 60–90 seconds if you prefer a warm bowl.

Batch tip: Make 4–5 jars on Sunday for the entire week. Keep refrigerated for up to 4 days.
